How It Works
One market, one pickup, once a week — here's the rhythm.
Order any day
Browse the market whenever. Orders in by Wednesday 9:00 PM are packed for this Saturday; later orders roll to next Saturday automatically.
Growers pick & pack
Your growers harvest and pack only what's sold — nothing picked goes to waste. Pay by card, cash, or a payment app — each seller chooses what they accept, and your order shows it plainly.
Pickup Saturday
Pickup is set by each seller — you'll see the spot on every listing and agree to it before you order. Event pre-orders pick up at the event address.
How paying works: every seller chooses how they get paid — cash at pickup, card, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or Chime. Card orders save your card at checkout and are charged the actual packed total after packing. Payment-app payments go directly between you and the seller — the Market never holds them.
Little Egypt Market is a marketplace for local growers, bakers, and processors. It's free to list and free every month — no fee at all on cash and payment-app sales, and a small fee on card sales only. You pick how you get paid.
Good questions
How the Saturday market works, in plain terms.
When is pickup?
Every Saturday, 9 AM–12 PM. Order any day — orders in by Wednesday 9:00 PM are packed for that Saturday; later orders roll to the next one. Some listings offer on-farm pickup or seller-arranged pickup instead; the listing says which.
When do I pay?
Each seller chooses: cash at pickup, card (saved at checkout, charged the packed total after packing), or a payment app like Venmo or PayPal — for those, you send it right to the seller and mark it sent in the app; the Market never holds that money. Your checkout shows exactly what each seller accepts before you order.
Can I book butchering or culling?
Yes — processors list their services with species, per-head prices, and weekly capacity. Send a booking request from the listing; the provider accepts or declines, and you can message each other right in the app.
What are farm stand events?
Any seller can organize a stand or event — a day, a weekend, a fair. Other sellers join with the organizer's approval and post what they're bringing, so you can browse (and often pre-order) before you go.
What if something sells out?
Join the waitlist. It's first come, first served — the fair way this market started. If a grower picks extra, the next name in line gets first call.
Who can sell at the Market?
Local growers, bakers, beekeepers, meat sellers, and processors — apply right here, get approved, and list from your phone in minutes. Free to list, $0 a month, no fee on cash or payment-app sales.
Where is pickup?
Each seller sets their own pickup spot — a farm stand, a lot in town, wherever they set up. You'll see the exact spot on the listing before you order, and you agree to it at checkout so both of you know where you're meeting. Ordering for an event instead? Those pick up at the event address, shown on the event page. Bring a bag or a cooler.
